For many years I have loved the idea of officiating weddings. It is an honor to play a role when two individuals make the decision to spend their lives together. To be a part of that special day and make sure that it is a reflection of their love and desires for the future is an important part of my work as an Officiant. I want *all* couples in our community to know they can have the day that celebrates them and their new life together.
Celebrating the sacred events that define our lives is something that brings me peace and joy. These touchstone events happen throughout our life including, coming of age, marriages, children, new homes, new chapters and ultimately death. Each one is something we can choose to honor with space and ceremony.
I became ordained in 2009 after a friend attended the funeral of a family member and the presiding officiant conducted a religious ceremony that was not reflective of her loved one. I offer my services to work together with families to create a ceremony that is reflective of their spirit and that is honoring of their loved one. I have a special interest in facilitating home funerals.
